It’s hard to say whether Cle de Peau is more famous for its Luminizing Face Enhancers, which were around wayyyy before most people has heard of let alone become obsessed with highlighters and strobing, or for its classic Concealer with SPF 25, which has won so many beauty editor reviews for best concealer that it’s not really a remarkable designation at this point. But since the Luminizing Face Enhancers are so beautiful to look at, I figured I would lead with that!
- Pastel (shown above): sky blue, soft lavender, fleshy pink and creamy ivory

- Delicate Pink: ruddy rose, soft rose pink, champagne beige, ice white
- Almond: golden bronze, fleshy soft mauve, soft rose pink, champagne beige
The Customizable Eye Palette Case ($45) that fits a quad and a duo is gorgeous and high quality, which are descriptions that are essentially synonymous with Cle de Peau. It has a deep, sapphire blue hue with soft gold trim, and feels so luxurious and weighty in my hand.
When you open it up, there are eye and cheek brushes and two empty spaces where you can insert the eye quad and cheek duo of your choice. I received the Eye Color Quad in 313 Golden Lace ($55), which contains a rich, jewel-toned, mauvey purple, a soft peach, a pale shell pink and a warm yellow gold. My palette also contained Cheek Color Duo in 103 ($50), which includes a peachy, bright coral pink and a pretty, lively rose pink.
As with all Cle de Peau powders, the eye and cheek colors were all incredibly fine quality: super finely milled, beautifully soft to the touch with stunning pigmentation. Very easy to apply and blend. The cheek duo gives cheeks a beautiful flush that imparts warmth and life to the skin, and the eye quad can be used for a natural look or something more dramatic. I’ve done one of each in the photos above. I’m so in love!
Next up, we have Cle de Peau’s famous concealer…
It comes in an easy-to-apply tube with a twist up stick that I just swipe directly onto my finger and then dab on in spots where I need coverage. And wow. First of all, the coverage is incredible. I have acne prone skin and now that I am pregnant, I haven’t been able to take the prescription that kept my skin super clear for the last year and a half. Nothing is more annoying than having to spend a ton of time applying concealer in the morning to make sure that all the pimples and leftover scars are fully covered…Cle de Peau’s concealer makes covering spots a cinch because of how high the coverage level is. It’s genuinely the best concealer that I have used. I will happily shell out $70 to repurchase this once my tube is gone, but I think it’ll be awhile before that time will come because I only use a small amount every day since the coverage is so good. This is one product that is COMPLETELY worth every bit of hype that it has received. I don’t think I will find anyone who will argue with me on that point! Swatches of the whole range below – I’m missing one shade that my local Saks didn’t have. Almond goes in between Beige and Ocher.
The Intensifying Liquid Eyeliner ($55 for 0.02 oz.) is a quick drying, luminous finish, dual-tipped liquid eyeliner that has a thicker side for creating bold lines or filling in larger areas and a thin side for delicate work and little flicks at the end of a classic cat eye look. Application of liquid liner is probably my biggest area of weakness when it comes to makeup application. I love cat eye looks, but I don’t do them on a daily basis because I haven’t perfected the art of the line and my eyes are a little uneven so I feel like that makes it extra difficult to make the line the same angle without having a guide like a piece of tape or paper on both sides. This liner made application a cinch, and the ink is so pigmented and goes on so easily that it’s just a real pleasure to use.
