One of my favorite handbag makers, Linjer, has just launched a new handbag! I have been a huge fan of their designs for quite some time (you may remember my posts from a couple years ago on their Crossbody Bag and Classic Watch), so naturally, I felt I had to share about it. My first impressions since receiving it are that the Linjer Sling Bag ($245) is a gorgeous, minimal, thoughtfully designed crossbody that is lightweight and slim in profile while also being quite roomy. Scroll to the bottom for my review!
Linjer’s flagship products are its handbags, which I originally fell in love with due to the incredible level of quality and craftsmanship that goes into the design, raw materials and production of each one. The Linjer Sling Bag is made from the highest quality leather available: full-grain, vegetable-tanned, Italian leather, which the founders source themselves through a centuries-old tannery outside of Florence in the village of Santa Croce, Italy. It’s available in two hues, Chestnut and Black. I got mine in Chestnut, which is a rich, rusty, sienna brown.
The bag features an adjustable strap, which means that it will hang at just the right height on anyone, whether you’re 6’1″ or 5’2″! I am petite, and I love that I can wear Linjer’s crossbody bags because of their adjustable straps! The hardware is polished brass which looks good forever and stands up to all kinds of wear, and the zipper is the YKK Excella, which are the same zippers that Louis Vuitton uses for their bags. A bag with a cheap zipper is a pain to open. I personally love that not only is the Sling bag easy to open and close, but it’s even a pleasure to open and close because of how smoothly the zipper operates.
The size of the Linjer Sling Bag is also really well-considered in terms of design. It is slim in profile, so it doesn’t add bulk or weight to your overall look. And it’s also tall, so it can fit a few useful necessities like a full size, long wallet and a kindle or iPad mini. There’s also room for your keys and a few extra things. I like to carry around a few lip products and a small hand cream, and they fit really nicely without making the bag feel stuffed or misshapen at all.
My final impression is that the Sling Bag is a great addition to Linjer’s current line-up of handbags. It is thoroughly modern with a smart-casual feel, and I foresee it being a highly useful, subtly luxurious, everyday crossbody bag for myself and many others!
*Many thanks to Linjer for providing the Sling Bag for consideration and review. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own*
